🌈 Welcome to Our Sensory Room 🌈

Our beautifully designed sensory room is a calming, interactive space created for individuals of all ages and abilities. It offers a safe and soothing environment ideal for people with learning disabilities, autism, sensory processing differences, or those simply seeking a peaceful retreat. Whether you're visiting as a family, a support worker with someone you care for, or hiring for a group or party, the room is fully adaptable to meet your needs.

Who can use the room?

The room is open to:

  • Individuals of all ages and abilities

  • Families, carers, support workers, and SEN groups

  • Schools, community groups, and organisations

  • Those looking to book for a birthday party or celebration with a difference

What's Inside?

Our sensory room features a range of equipment to support relaxation, stimulation and sensory development, including:

  • 🌊 Bubble Tubes & Fibre Optics – for visual calm and colour therapy

  • 🔴 Large Built-In Ball Pool – for immersive, playful sensory input

  • 🟡 Small Baby Ball Pool – perfect for little ones to enjoy safely

  • 🎨 Interactive Mood Lighting & Remote Cube – encouraging cause-and-effect play

  • 🌬️ Aroma Panel – gentle scents to enhance sensory experience

  • 🎶 Bluetooth Speakers – customise your music for a relaxing or uplifting atmosphere

  • ✋ Tactile Play Items – a variety of textures to explore

  • 🧩 Sensory Play Table and Soft-Furnishings including Dream Cushion

  • 🪑 Gantry Voyager Hoist – to safely transfer from wheelchair to soft furnishings (users must bring their own sling; their enablers/carers are responsible for operation)

How Many Can Use The Room?

  • The room comfortably accommodates up to 14 people

  • For bookings including wheelchair users or larger equipment, we recommend a smaller group for comfort and accessibility

  • Available for sole use or individual slots – just choose what works best for you (please note that individual hire is a shared space with other users)

 

Party Hire

Looking for a special, sensory-friendly celebration? Our sensory room can be hired for birthday parties or small group events. It’s a unique and inclusive space that brings joy in a calm, supportive environment. Combine the room with booking our animals to make your party extra special! Booking and Pricing

  • Individual Hire: £10 per person for all ages (carers go free, please provide proof). To book this please call us on 01837 810 584 (option 1 week days 9am-4pm);

  • Sole Use: £35 per session. Please use the Book Now button below;

  • Sessions must be booked and paid for in advance;

  • Please ensure you read our sensory room usage policies before attending.

Please read our Sensory Room and Ball Pool Policies before booking the room. To make an amendment to your booking please call or email us at least 24 hours before the booked slot.

Carer's Proof:

- If you are sole hiring the room then you do not need to show us carer's proof.

- Carer's proof can be in the form of a Carer’s Allowance award letter, GP registration as a carer, a carer’s assessment from the local council, identification from a carer support organisation, or recognition from an employer. Please show your proof of carer status to a staff member on arrival. We are working on a system so you won’t need to bring it every time, but for now, we’ll need to see it each visit. Thank you for your understanding.
