Food and Drink
We have two cafés: Made-Well Café is on our main site at West Fishleigh Farm and Castle Ham Lodge Café is in Castle Ham Lodge in Okehampton. Homecooked meals that are prepared fresh on site. We use seasonal produce, which is either grown by us or sourced locally.
Made-Well Café

Made-Well Café is open weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (until the Autumn). Hot food orders are taken until 2:45 pm, while drinks, snacks, and cakes are available until closing. We also offer delicious ice cream and milkshakes! Dine in or take away—plus, we have a selection of freshly made frozen meals that can go straight from the freezer to the microwave for a quick and convenient meal. Highchairs and children's menu available alongside a children's corner to keep little ones entertained whilst you dine.
Castle Ham Lodge Café

Castle Ham Lodge Café offers a variety of refreshments, snacks, light lunches, takeaway picnics and a roast on Sundays. Our meals are available to eat in, takeaway or have delivered. We also do buffets and cream teas on request by calling or texting 07869319439 or emailing meals@made-well.co.uk
Castle Ham Lodge is situated on the footpath to the Old Town Park and Okehampton Castle. It is about a 6 minute flat walk (0.3 miles) from Okehampton Post Office. There is visitors parking around the back of the building.
We can cater for specialist dietary requirements including Texture Modified Meals. If you have a food preference or need please let us know. We can tailor meals for specific intolerances and allergens such as gluten free or diabetic.
Community in our Cafés
Our cafés are community-focused and offer plenty of ways to feel included.
The people we support are taught about nutrition and how to cook safely. They have the opportunity to serve the food they have prepare in our cafés. This is great for their self-esteem and provides interaction with our community.
Our Castle Ham Lodge Café offers a Wednesday Lunch Club from 11:30am until it's gone! For £10 you can select a hot meat or vegetarian meal (see the Meals on Wheels menu), with dessert and a drink.
You are welcome to use our cafes as Warm Spaces, where you can spend your day in the colder months. Low price food and drinks are available.
