About Made-Well
Made-Well is a not-for-profit community interest company established in August 2007 at West Fishleigh Farm, just outside the market town of Hatherleigh, West Devon.
Made-Well is a wonderful destination to explore! Our facilities are open to the public, which include a café, petting animals, an inclusive playground, beautiful gardens, and allotments. We offer a range of products for sale, such as fresh seasonal vegetables, herbs, plants, compost, local free-range eggs and unique handmade items created by the people we support and our staff. Gift vouchers are also available.
We are proud to provide accessible facilities, including a disabled toilet with baby-changing amenities and a fully equipped Changing Places toilet, featuring a hoist, adult-sized changing bench, and ample space for a carer.
Made-Well aims to provide inclusive, hands-on experiences for everyone, in horticulture, cookery, animal care, and therapeutic activities, fostering a sense of community and personal growth. Our objectives include offering tailored opportunities for individuals of all abilities to engage in meaningful projects, promoting social interaction, skill development, and well-being. The desired outcomes are enhanced self-esteem, improved social skills, and a supportive environment where participants can thrive and contribute positively to the community.
Please note that we are situated on a working farm, with moving vehicles and machinery being used. Children and supported adults must be supervised at all times and dogs kept on leads. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the animal barn and playground.
