Access Information
Parking
Our car park on the main site is easily accessible for wheelchair users and anybody who has any mobility problems. We like to prioritise blue badge holders parking at our main site car park, but we have an overflow car park a short along a cycle path.
Changing Places Toilet
We have a M-Regs disabled toilet located at the café and a Changing Places toilet (which has a hoist, an adult sized changing bench and plenty of room for carer) available on our site. Access to the toilet is through a radar key; if you don’t have one we have spares on site.
Inclusive Garden and Park
Most of Made-Well is accessible via tarmac, concrete or hardcore pathways. Onsite there is a disability inclusive park with equipment which can be enjoyed by wheelchair users.
Sensory Room
Why not check out our sensory room while you are here? This room has been created to be a multi-sensory space. With calming bubble tubes, sensory projector, visual effects, tactile fibre optic strands, huge bean bag, padded bench, liquid floor tiles, aromatherapy diffuser, weighted blankets and cushions, music, a messaging mattress and more … This room has become the ultimate chill out, therapeutic space.
Disability Inclusive Bikes
We have two accessible bikes onsite, the Opair Wheelchair bike and the Fun2Go Tandem, both with electric assist and disability accessible features. Available to the people we support and visitors can hire the bikes for use onsite.
Information and Signs
We have easy read information available and large print on request. The menus in our café include pictures and a QR code to our website, where you can download a digital copy of the menu. We have clear signs around the site.
Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle
We have one wheelchair accessible vehicle currently available for the people we support.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs (and non-Assistance dogs!) are welcome at Made-Well. We ask that you please keep your dog on a lead during your visit.
